When I travel I am always worry that I would lose it or that I have to hold it all the time so it doesn’t get ruin this works perfectly the clip is strong enough without damaging the hat the only thing and is not a big deal is that when you open the clip the strap slip out ,so you have to be careful not to lose the strap
