Review: I cannot express how happy I was to open the box and see this mortar and pestle. Perfect. The right color the right shape. I have looked for a very long time for "THE ONE" and this is it. It is surprisingly heavy. I can understand how one could have been dropped in transit and broken. Mine wasn't so I am happy. I am also satisfied that with the " proper seasoning " it will do just what I need it to without grit, sand or flaking into my food. If not I will be back with an edit.
