I am typically wearing a medium these days, but I ordered a large so I could sleep comfortably. However, I probably could have gotten a medium since the elastic on the waist isn’t too constricting. You could order your typical size and it’d likely fit. And if you lean towards the larger of two sizes, it won’t be so big that you couldn’t wear it, if you happened to go up a size
