Do you. Wear your wonderful. Express your unique personality fashion – and don't be afraid to try new things, and most importantly, slay. These are some of the things that SHEIN aims to be for everyone who's been a fan with us since the beginning, and we want to remind you all that we love and care about you, no matter where you come from.

With recent events surrounding the tragic death of George Floyd, it's been hard to focus on anything else.

June, being Pride month, we thought it was important to shine a light on the LGBTQ+ community and their place in civil rights history and today's fashion.

1. Watch The Birdcage: 1996 American comedy film directed by Mike Nichols, adapted by Elaine May, and starring Robin Williams, Gene Hackman, Nathan Lane, and Dianne Wiest. In this remake of the classic French farce "La Cage aux Folles," engaged couple Val Goldman (Dan Futterman) and Barbara Keeley (Calista Flockhart) shakily introduce their future in-laws. Val's father, Armand (Robin Williams), a gay Miami drag club owner, pretends to be straight and attempts to hide his relationship with Albert (Nathan Lane), his life partner and the club's flamboyant star attraction, so as to please Barbara's father, controversial Republican Sen. Kevin Keeley (Gene Hackman).

2. Watch Paris Is Burning. An incredible look into drag performance that reflects upon the ties between fashion and the LGBTQ+ culture. This documentary focuses on drag queens living in New York City and their "house", which provides a sense of community and support for the flamboyant and often socially shunned performers. Groups from each house compete in elaborate balls that take cues from the world of fashion.

3. Shop for a cause: find out where your local LGBTQ+ businesses are and use your coin! Especially during these times, our support means everything.

4. Host a virtual happy hour featuring snacks from your local gay bar or restaurant!

5. Visit Stonewall virtually – and educate yourself more about the Pride movement from your home. Learn about the Stonewall riots and their place in LGBTQ+ history – it’s a must.
